I’m drawn to the questions that remain when there are no easy answers.

I love the moment when a good question suddenly changes everything. I love being at my desk as much as being with people. The thinking that happens alone. And that moment when something shifts between people and a new direction becomes clear. Perhaps that is why the same challenge has stayed with me for fifteen years: How do we keep moving forward when the world becomes more complex?

Exploring

The world is not getting any simpler. That in itself is not the problem. It becomes one when we believe we need an instant answer to everything. I write, speak and ask questions. On the radio. Through research. On stage. I’m interested in what happens. Even more in why we see the world the way we do. Because long before we make a decision, we have already formed a view of the world. That is where my work begins.

Shaping

Organisations only change when people are willing to imagine a different future. There is a moment when an organisation realises that change is necessary. And another, far more important one: when it becomes clear where to go next. I work with family businesses, leaders and foundations in the space between those two moments. Where responsibility meets the future. Where clarity matters more than speed. And where a good question can sometimes achieve more than the next presentation.

Investing

The loudest ideas don’t interest me most. I’m drawn to the ones that still matter when the excitement wears off. That is why I invest selectively. In people who want to build something. In technologies with substance. And in founders with the courage to turn their idea of the future into something real. Capital is one part of the story. For me, the most compelling investments rarely begin with a pitch deck. They begin with a conversation. With the person behind it. Attention, trust and the right questions often make the real difference.

The future doesn’t need faster answers. It needs better judgement.
